Early Life and Education

Her early journey was filled with challenges since education and skill development didn’t come easily to her. While she was always good at talking and connecting with people, reading and writing were tough for her.

Even with these hurdles, she stayed honest, hardworking and full of heart. Her parents, teachers and friends always supported her and believed she could make it. Their trust helped her fight through her fears and slowly turn her weaknesses into her biggest strengths. That belief became the foundation of who she is today.

Dr. Prabavathy’s career took a new shape when she joined Bharathidasan University. It was here that she discovered her life’s real purpose. She became the Founder and Head of the Centre for Differently Abled Persons (CDAP), an initiative that continues to impact lives even today.

Through CDAP, she has worked to create an inclusive education system that welcomes students with different abilities. She focused on those who cannot see, hear, or speak, and those who learn differently. She opened not only the doors of higher education but also the hearts of society by organizing sensitization and simulation training sessions. These sessions built understanding, empathy and inclusion among teachers, students and the wider community.
