Early Life and Education
Dr. Krunal Soni was born and raised in Bombay, now Mumbai. From a young age he was fascinated by the transformative power of medicine, especially its ability to restore movement and improve quality of life. His interest in orthopedics developed early, driven by a desire to help people regain mobility, confidence and independence.
He completed his MBBS and MS in Orthopedics before pursuing advanced international training in arthroscopy, sports medicine, joint preservation and shoulder replacement surgery. This specialized training placed him among the few surgeons in Ahmedabad with such extensive expertise. His exposure to global surgical practices inspired his mission to bring world-class arthroscopy, sports injury care and joint replacement services to Ahmedabad, India.
Career
Today, Dr. Soni is recognized as one of India’s most innovative Knee and Shoulder specialists. He serves as the Director of The Bombay Surgeons – Knee & Shoulder Superspeciality Center, leads the Arthroscopy & Sports Injury Unit at Apollo Hospitals, Ahmedabad, and founded RESTORE+ programme, a comprehensive center to deliver advanced, complex procedures with precision and compassion.
His expertise includes arthroscopic ligament reconstruction (ACL/PCL), shoulder instability repairs, cartilage restoration, and modern joint preservation surgeries — procedures that help athletes and active individuals return to the lives and sports they love and Knee & Shoulder Joint Replacement. Beyond surgical excellence, Dr. Soni is passionate about patient education and personalized recovery pathways.
A strong advocate for academic growth, he heads the India Chapter of The Operating Room Global (TORG), mentoring young surgeons, promoting research-driven practice, and encouraging ethical innovation.
