Career
Dr. Baidya has served as Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology at ESIC-PGIMSR and ESI Medical College, Joka, Kolkata. Currently, he is working as faculty at a medical institute in Kolkata.
Alongside his medical career, he has developed a distinctive philosophical framework integrating science, ethics, and human values. His theory proposes that morality exists both intrinsically— embedded within living cells—and extrinsically, shaped by education, culture, and social conditioning.
His central philosophical argument emphasizes that virtues such as compassion, forgiveness, and nonviolence are essential pillars for establishing world peace. According to Baidya, global harmony is directly proportional to human morality, and moral leadership has the power to transform societies through philanthropic and ethical action.
Philosophy and Intellectual Contributions
Dr. Baidya’s philosophical work focuses on unifying medical science, moral theory, and universal ethics.
In Morality Beyond the Human Brain: Scientific and Philosophical Exploration, he introduced a mathematical model of intrinsic morality. He argues that moral capacity is naturally embedded in living beings as part of evolutionary survival mechanisms.
In Morality Beyond the Human Brain – Part 2, he further elaborates on the relationship between innate and acquired morality, explaining their importance in human existence, development, and survival.
In A Path to World Peace, he explores how human virtues can shape civilizations and promote global harmony. He also discusses the idea of a universal religion as a foundation for sustainable peace. His broader philosophical thesis suggests that morality is inherent in nature itself and guided by a cosmic or divine moral framework.
